Our Story

We met on February 15, 2011.
I was working at Little Caesar's as a cashier when he came into my lobby in full uniform and on duty.
He ordered some food and a drink, which I found out later he didn't eat at all he just ordered it to have a reason to talk to me, and proceeded to start a conversation with me and after 30 minutes of talking there was a little noise from his radio and he left. As I was closing that night I noticed a police car parked in the parking lot. When I went to my car he leaned out of his window and told me that he was sorry for rushing out on me earlier it was just part of his job. And then had another call and then turned on his blue lights and left. The next night he was waiting for me outside of my work again. This time we had a lot more time to talk. We talked about my life and  he told me about all about his life as a police officer, being in the army and all the tours he had done, and most importantly . . .being a father to his two sons.

This wasn't a problem for me. We talked for about an hour when he had another call and I quickly wrote down my number and he left again. Friday and Saturday were my days off and then I opened the store every Sunday. I hadn't seen or heard from him since Thursday night. So that Sunday morning I opened the store hoping he would remember that I mentioned that I work Sunday mornings and he would come by and see me again. And sure enough, He did. He came in off duty and walked up to the counter where I was standing with my coworker Maya and handed me the keys to his vehicle and asked for mine. I was hesitant at first but after some convincing from Maya I finally gave in and he took my car and left, leaving me there with his car wondering why in the world he took my car. Btw, his car was much nicer and newer. After about forty minutes he returned with my car. He came in and told me he replaced the two front tires because he remembered that I had told him Thursday night that one of my tires was down to the wire and he didn't want anything bad to happening to me. He then asked me if I would go to dinner and a movie with him and I said yes. We looked up movies and times and plan to meet back up at my work after I got off and went home and changed. We went out that night, ate dinner and saw a movie. From that night on we we inseparable. I moved in with him a week in a half later. He met my parents and I met his. He told his mom that he knew I was the one and his mom told us that her and his father knew each other 3 months before they got married and they have been married over 50 years so when you know you just know. The ride home that night I told him you just don't hear those kind of love stories anymore. Three weeks later we got married at the courthouse.
This was our wedding day, nothing to extreme just blue jeans and cowboy boots.
The wedding was kind of on a whim but my mother, step father, two brothers, and three little sisters were there :)

Call us crazy, young and naive but we are still happily married eight months later and I still thank god every day he came into my work that night and the best part of my day is still when he comes home to me.
